# Who says Zionism's end game is taking all the land?

**It is Zionism's own founders and leading Israeli voices, not just outside critics, who say the end game is taking all the land.** Ze'ev Jabotinsky, the father of the Israeli right and Benjamin Netanyahu's ideological lineage, wrote plainly in *The Iron Wall* (1923) that "Zionist colonisation must either stop, or else proceed regardless of the native population," and called Zionism "a colonization adventure" whose aim, "in the very nature of things," the Arabs of Palestine could never accept ([Simple Wikipedia](https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zionism_as_settler_colonialism)). Theodor Herzl himself described the project as "something colonial" and spoke of "experiments in colonization" in Palestine. The standard apologetic rebuttal — that Israel's enacted law fixes no territorial end point, that the 2018 Basic Law "states an identity, not an extent" ([FARA filing](https://efile.fara.gov/docs/7732-Informational-Materials-20260807-25.pdf)) — is true only on paper and misleading in substance: that same Article 7 makes Jewish settlement "a national value" the state "will act to encourage and promote its establishment and consolidation," with no eastern border, while settlement expansion on Palestinian land proceeds decade after decade. Where words on paper leave off, conduct speaks: Israel's own leading human-rights monitor, B'Tselem, concluded in 2021 that the territory between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean is governed as "a regime of Jewish supremacy… This is apartheid" ([FARA filing](https://efile.fara.gov/docs/7732-Informational-Materials-20260807-25.pdf)); scholars like Richard Falk document, in their criticism of the "Greater Israel" plan, the pursuit of territorial expansion through relentless West Bank colonization ([Global Justice in the 21st Century](https://richardfalk.org/category/settler-colonialism/)); and even Orthodox rabbis, defending the Torah against the state, teach that the whole land must go back to the Palestinians ([The Singju Post](https://singjupost.com/unapologetic-w-rabbi-elhanan-beck-on-zionism-transcript/)). Historical scholarship agrees the ultimate goal was "as much land, as many Jews, and as few Palestinian Arabs as possible" ([Wikiwand](https://www.wikiwand.com/en/articles/Zionism)). Critics who claim Zionism aims to seize all of Palestine are therefore not inventing a plan — they are quoting its founders. For a conservative, the tell is simple: men who revere law, property, and honest dealing should credit what Jabotinsky openly declared, what Israel's own statute encodes, and what 750,000 dispossessed Palestinians and 500 destroyed villages confirm — the design was maximal from the start, and "finishing the job" is the end game, not an aberration.
